As you may know, the Club Nintendo program is shutting down this year and so there’s been a flurry of activity with people rummaging through their old games to get points codes. I, of course, diligently put all my codes in already, so I knew what I had to work with. However, a couple of weeks back a new item was announced that set me into a frenzy: the Majora’s Mask lamp. I was about 6-700 points short, and was sadly resigned to missing out on this awesome item. Being a big Zelda fan, I was crushed.
But fate smiled on me as I poked around in my Club Nintendo account and found a bunch of unanswered surveys for digital purchases. This actually amounted to nearly the total points I needed, and then I was saved by gamer friend Aaron, who had an unused points card in his WiiU version of Assassin’s Creed. That tipped me over the required edge, and I grabbed a lamp with my heart beating frantically. The lamps were sold out in mere days.
Skip to yesterday where I saw a post on Vooks about new Club Nintendo items coming soon to the Europe store, and wondering about the possibility of them showing up here in Australia. I had a look and was glad to see there wasn’t anything I desperately wanted (given I had practically zero points left, and no more chances to redeem any). Well, according to the email from Nintendo I received today, indeed those items will be available in our Club Nintendo store and if you have any points left, you might want to check them out (image courtesy of Vooks):
Some other bits and pieces will also be turning up towards the end of the Club Nintendo program, but the only one I’m really interested in is the Club Nintendo Goodbye Coin. Probably won’t be able to get it though!
